Saturday, March 10: Be Thou My Vision
The version of the song Be Thou My Vision that I know has a special meaning for me, in this verse in particular which reads:
Be thou my vision and my way
Even when I don’t want to obey
Teach me to follow unafraid
The path you choose for me
Almost like the small child in me, I have the need to be a defiant child on occasion. Many times in my life I have struggled with what God wants me to do, thinking I KNOW BEST – when indeed I don’t. And then, the fear sometimes of what is called for us to do can be an overwhelming thing, but in the end we know that all we have to do is trust God to lead and guide us in the path HE wants us to take.
