Friday, March 30: Hebrews 10:16-29
And let us watch out for one another to provide love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other and all the more as you see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25
We are living in troubled times, as did the early Christians. Watching the news or listening to the radio reminds us daily of the evil surrounding us. We know that Satan appears in many forms trying to seduce us to his ways. There are days that I refuse to listen to the news because I can’t bear to hear how our world is falling into further corruption.
These are the times that I draw on the blessed assurance of Christ. He knows the evil one is controlling these events. Jesus anointed us with the Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith and draw us nearer to Him. Let us continue to gather in His name, loving and encouraging one another and continuing the works of His kingdom. For we know that the day of the Lord is coming. There will be no more tears, no more pain and no more fears.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for supplying us with weapons of the Spirit to discern and defeat evil. Help us to boldly go forward, proclaiming your name and the love that you provide. We look forward to the day of your return. In your name, Amen.
